SpeedControl 0.7beta (for Final Cut Pro)

This program allows you change the speed of a clip smoothly.
Just enter a clip, the start and ending speed in percent.
Done.

  • TEST-CLIP: Here is a short clip with the following speeds:
  • 100% forward
  • 100% goes down to 0%
  • 0% goes up to 40% backward
  • 40% backward
  • 40% backward goes up to 100% backward
  • MPEG4-Clip (~600kB, QT6 required)
  • This is my first public beta version. It may crash. And there is the text 'BETA' on all Frames.
  • Installation: Find "Final Cut Pro", get informations about it (Apple-I), open "Plug Ins", use the button to add it
  • It's a Generator, actually found in the group "Others"
  • ALL parameters (except Blending) must be constant over the whole effect
  • The script has a problem at the end, if the speed@end is below 100%
  • Download: SpeedControl 0.7beta
  • In the Controls-section, drop the source clip on the Source Clip
  • ALL parameters (except Blending) must be constant over the whole effect
  • Speed @ Begin sets the speed at the beginning of the new clip
  • Speed @ End sets the speed at the end of the new clip
  • The pictures explain, what the Factor 'n' is
  • The Render Method is identical to the switch 'Field Rendering' in the 'Render Quality Editor' except you have to set this explicitly
  • The Blending defines how many frames will be blended. Frames near to a real frame may be not blended
  • Reverse Source is self explained
  • To see what the Type's are look at the pictures

Here now some example speeds:
